Springfield School Volunteers Launches New Website

We're happy to announce the launch of Springfield School Volunteers' new website last month. The new website has a more modern design and layout that better conveys the forward-thinking approach of the organization and that creates a more user-friendly experience for website users.
We added the organization's full volunteer application online to save paperwork and simplified the volunteer interest form which has already resulted in a 42% increase in interest form completions. We also added new online volunteer training functionality and expanded the volunteer opportunities section so that volunteers can more quickly find opportunities that they're interested in.
New content sections were added on the new site, including FAQs, For Teachers, For Parents and a login section for board members. The FAQ section is now the second most popular on the site.
We built the new website using Tunnel 7's configuration of ExpressionEngine, which is designed to be drop dead simple to use for clients. We also conducted trainings with staff on working with ExpressionEngine, as well as best practices for writing great website content. This has resulted in a staff member now dedicated to keeping the website current.
The new website helps give Springfield School Volunteers the web presence they need to continue the outstanding work that they do in the Springfield community. And results have been good so far: in the first month alone, website visits are up 38% and overall website goal completions are up 30%.
