Refreshed Look and New Features at Tunnel 7
July 25, 2008 filed under: News
Having worked in the field of website design for quite some time now one of the things I often find is that clients know very little about what is involved in a website project. While certainly I don’t expect them to know the ins and outs of all things I do firmly believe that it puts them at a disadvantage and susceptible to making poor decisions about their website.
Educating clients about websites
Enter the new features on Tunnel 7 that I’ve released today. Both the new blog and the podcast speak directly to clients, potential clients (and really anyone who is interested) about what goes into making a successful website. There are many blogs and even a number of podcasts geared towards the web geek filled with technical mumbo jumbo that clients don’t need to know. But what there is a dearth of is quality content geared directly to clients to help them make better decisions about their website projects. That is where the new features on the website will help.
Technical enhancements
There are also some additional technical changes made with this updated version. RSS feeds for both the blog and the podcast have been added so you can be notified as soon as new content is added to the website (What is RSS?). And the website now runs on the lovely ExpressionEngine content management system. Oh and I should also mention that the new website also validates as XHTML strict - OK so that is a little technical but it means the website adheres to the most rigid standards on the web today.
I look forward to writing and speaking to you much more directly now!
